Agegroup Multisport Podcast (Triathlon,Duathlon,Aquabike,Aquathlon)
Triathlon as a sport has a unique part to it, where it allows everyday people to compete in a range of sports, Triathlon, swim bike and run, Duathlon, run, bike, run, Aquathlon, swim, run and Aquabike, swim and bike, for their country against others in their agegroup.
The Agegroup Multisport Podcast is a platform where Agegroup Multisport Athletes from around the world, share their Journey from Multisport beginner to Agegroup Athlete.
In telling their stories the athletes are providing valuable information and insights about their experiences, we can all learn from these, which will in turn help our own multisport adventure.
Listen to their training regimes, favourite kit, how they decide which races to aim for. Its free information from athletes who know, how to research, prepare, train, race and perform to reach their goals.
Ive learnt a lot from having these Agegroupers on the podcast, its helping me and it can help you too.
I don't do this for monetary gains, there are no commercial or financial sponsorships of any kind its just a way of giving back to my multisport community.
You can listen to us on all the major podcast platforms, and on our youtube channel and catch us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Welcome back to another episode of AMP.
This episode features Kev Appleton, GB Agegrouper and fellow YouTuber.
Kev says "My Triathlon Journey started in 2017 when i was persuaded to enter the Blenheim Palace Sprint Triathlon in 2018. A year of training to get from over weight and unfit to to some kind of fitness I completed taht first Sprint race and was well and truly bitten by the bug.
Later in 2018 I had my second triathlon but stepped up to Standard Distance at Woburn Abbey.
Over the next few years I competed in several sprint Triathlons and returned to Blenheim again in 2020 and 2021
I was soon stepping up again to 70.3 with Outlaw X, Outlaw Nottingham Half and Outlaw 70.3 Holkham, Ironman 70.3 Duisburg all completed. In 2023 we entered a Relay Team into Outlaw X with my employer Chairman and colleague we finished an amazing 3rd Place with a combined age of 167 years!
Finally running out of excuses I'd entered the Outlaw Full in 2023. This was my first "Iron" Distance, wasn't to be my last though as I now "had" to do an "Ironman" race so Barcelona was the target for 2024. Earlier in 2024 as part of my training I completed Wales Long Course Weekend in Tenby.
2025 I committed to a year of Sprint Distance racing with the intention of qualifying for the age group Team in Banyoles 2026. Making the Aquathlon Team is a great honour for me and has increased the determination to qualify for Sprint and Standard distance Teams for World and European Championships in 2027"
