Mike won an Age-group Silver medal at World Duathlon Champs 2003 and then was picked to represent Gb at the elite Duathlon level 2004-2005, World Cups, European Champs, World Champs

Mike Took up swimming after birth of daughter in 2005 (and having a bit of a breakdown mid-race) as the pressures of life got too much.

Mike progressed through the the  triathlon distances at ‘participation’ level – returned to Age-Group racing in 2017 at Aquabike European Champs

We discuss Mikes career path after a period of time in banking, as a qualified accountant.

Mike States "my strength lies in my ability to apply my knowledge to drive commercial decision making. I applied this at HSBC for 14 years, working in UK, European and Global Head Office roles.
Following the 2012 Olympics I applied my skills to launching a charity and growing it from start-up to delivering activities to help over 160,000 children to lead more active lives.
Sadly the charity became a victim of the Covid crisis, and I'm now following my passion for physical activity as the Head of Events and Open Water Swimming at Active Training World, a rapidly growing and successful Sports Event Management company."

Please enjoy Mikes fascinating journey.
